The Spirituality Of Stewardship

Stewardship is a way of life--a journey in faith, hope and love. We are called to be good stewards of all the Creator's gifts. The air we breathe, the land which gives us sustenance, the streams that quench our thirst and harbor life, all are entrusted to our care, for our use, not abuse. Our minds, hearts and souls are gifts to nurture spiritual growth. Our intellect enables us to take care of ourselves, our families and to minister to our fellow human beings and all of creation.

We are asked to step out in faith by trusting God to supply us our needs. All that is required is the return of our first fruits, not leftovers--our substance, not our surplus. Stewardship is about giving over, giving up and giving back to God. All that we are and all that we have, is God's gift to us. All that we become is our gift to God. Share your gifts with God and your community through your time, talents and treasures.

At St. Catherine Catholic School, we recognize that we are "stewards" of the Creator's gifts to us.

St. Catherine Catholic School promotes "stewardship" as a way of life. As Christian stewards, we receive the Creator's gifts to our community gratefully, we cultivate them responsibly, and we share them generously in justice with others. We understand that we have an obligation to return our gifts with increase to the Creator. We recognize our vocation to leave St. Catherine Catholic School "better than we found it." Our Stewardship annd Development Office is available to assist alumni and our community with planned giving vehicles, such as, charitable bequests, life insurance, life estate gifts and charitable remainder trusts.

St. Catherine is a "green school". We strive to be good stewards of the environment by using environmentally friendly products, minimizing use of resources and recycling whenever possible.

The Stewardship & Development office is always looking for members of the community to share their time and talent at St. Catherine School.
