| I received my A.A. from Fullerton College in 1971 and my B.A. from San Diego State University in 1974. I majored in Social Science with my emphasis in Sociology and Psychology with a minor in Political Science and History. I did my post graduate studies in Elementary Ed. at SDSU and completed my student teaching in 1975. I have been employed with the Orange, San Jose, and Gilroy Unified School Districts prior to working for the Diocese of San Jose. I taught Fourth Grade at St. Mary School in Gilroy from 1991 until 2004. While there I served as the Language Arts Curriculum Coordinator and Community Service Coordinator. In the fall of 2004 I transferred to St. Catherine's. I have resided in Morgan Hill since 1985 and have been married 33 years to my husband Alan who recently retired as the Associate Superintendent of the East Side Union High School District. We have one grown son Brian, who works and attends college in Southern California. When I am not teaching I love being outdoors, reading a good book or exploring my culinary skills.
My philosophy as a Catholic educator is balancing a sound academic curriculum along with a strong foundation in the Catholic faith thereby enabling each child to reach his or her potential. |
