7th Grade

Mrs. Melissa Sidebotham

Biography

I am originally from Reno, Nevada where I attended a small Catholic School called Our Lady of the Snows from 1st through 8th grade. From there I went to Bishop Manogue High School. Then it was onward to Loyola Marymount University for a degree in Psychology with a Biology emphasis. I then completed a credential program in Incline Village for secondary education. I went back to Manogue to do my student teaching. Then I went out into the world to discover the joys of teaching in my own classroom.

My experiences have brought me to private, Catholic schools, public, inner-city schools, and schools on Native American reservations. Sylvan Learning Center was the next stop where I worked as a Director of Education and a Center Director for a number a number of years. Then I took a principal position at Starlight High School, a Level 14 lockdown facility. Before coming back to the classroom, I was able to enjoy a couple of years as a stay at home mom and help my husband with his law practice.

Working at St. Catherine's has been fantastic! We have great students, supportive parents and a wonderful staff. I am looking forward to another great year.

In His Service,
Melissa Sidebotham
“Mrs. S.”
