Biography

I am excited to welcome your family to first grade!!

This is my sixth year at St. Catherine and my third as the first grade teacher. 

I have been married to my awesome husband for 19 years, and I have three children: Andrew is starting his high school journey this year (yikes!!),  and both my girls are at St. Catherine, Molly in 8th grade, and Julia in 5th grade.

My goal with first graders is to instill a love of learning that they will carry on through their elementary school years. To achieve that, we do lots of field trips to get out in our community, and we do many hands on activities. We also incorporate lots of music and movement.

I am lucky to have a new aide this year, Alison Comerford. She has a son in kindergarten, and comes to first grade with a ton of energy and lots of new ideas that I know will make our classroom a great place to be!
